Next Reading Group Meeting Postponed until December 2nd

As James has rightly pointed out, many group members will be unable to meet today (11/25). I think it would be prudent to postpone our next meeting until December 2nd – we can talk a bit about Kafka if we want to, but let’s also begin our discussion on the intro to Difference and Repetition (up to page 27 in the book, on page 45 of the PDF). Thanks to Donovan for this PDF of Difference and Repetition.

A Thousand Plateaus Drawings

Check out Ngui’s website here for more drawings. Marc Ngui is an artist who drew “a methodical interpretation of the first two chapters of A Thousand Plateaus” paragraph-by-paragraph.

Pretty cool.

11/11 Kafka: Towards a Minor Literature

Hello everyone!

Just a reminder that we are planning on continuing our discussion of Kafka: Towards a Minor Literature at our next meeting on November 11th.

See you there!

Discussion on “Kafka: Towards a Minor Literature” on 11/4

Hi all,

We’re going to meet at our usual time and place on 11/4 – 4:30 in the lounge on the 7th floor of Beering. We’re going to start our discussion of Deleuze’s Kafka: Towards a Minor Literature. It is not a long book, so let’s aim for finishing our discussion in just two meetings. For those of you who would like to quickly get a little more Kafka under your belt, check out this excellent anime adaptation of Kafka’s “A Country Doctor.” (Thanks to Andrew for finding this!)

Hope to see you there!

Jason
